SYD BARRETT E “LUCIFER SAM”

Syd Barrett compose un brano musicale intitolato “Lucifer Sam” che i Pink Floyd inserirono nel loro album di debutto “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” del 1967.

Il gatto protagonista di “Lucifer Sam” è quello di Jenny Spires, ai tempi ragazza di Barrett, alla quale si allude nella canzone con il nome “Jennifer Gentle”.
Sam era anche il soprannome con cui Syd Barrett chiamava il proprio animale domestico, il gatto Rover.
